Terms of use
Plain-language terms for this website, the free tools and the planner.
Guidance, not certification
Designs, checks, materials lists, cut lists, cost ranges, plant information and guides are planning and construction guidance within the limits we describe. They are not engineering drawings, building-code or permit approvals, veterinary advice, or quotes. “No issue detected by the current rules” means only that: the rules cannot see your wall, your site, local regulations or your cats’ behaviour.
You are responsible for verifying dimensions and conditions on site, following local codes and HOA, landlord or building rules, keeping utilities, vents and emergency exits clear, and getting qualified help for structural attachment, elevated or roof-mounted designs, electrical work and anything you are unsure about. Inspect a catio before each season and supervise cats when they first use it.
Plant information
Plant safety statuses summarise the sources we cite, which are not exhaustive. A plant without a known hazard is not guaranteed to be safe. If your cat may have eaten something harmful, contact a veterinarian or animal poison control immediately.
Availability
The website and planner are provided as is, during a beta. Features marked planned or coming soon may change or not ship. Prices shown are illustrative ranges and change over time.
